Jet Reports is the Certified for Microsoft Dynamics, Excel based reporting tool designed to work with Dynamics NAV. The entry level solution, Jet Express, is available to all NAV users (version 2009 onwards) at no additional cost for licensing. It’s a great way to start your Jet journey and many users find that Jet Express meets their reporting needs. For those looking for a bit more, the next step up is Jet Essentials, now to be renamed Jet Professional.
Jet Professional provides many additional features to that Jet Express start. Jet Professional, has more designer tools to assist with building reports and once built, they can be scheduled to run and distribute via email or even update your SharePoint site.
Due to be released imminently will be the 2016 release of Professional. New features include;
• Jet Designers can now ‘Publish’ their reports to the new online interface.
• Others can run and download reports from any web browser from the new online interface.
• And Office 365 Online users can even view the reports in their web browser, too. (‘Open’ option in the last screenshot below)
