Rounding my first month with TVision off nicely at my first Christmas party, our incredible team took a well-deserved night off at a stunning Tudor pub in West Clandon, Surrey called The Onslow Arms.

It’s a picturesque country village, that just so happens to appear in the Doomsday Book. Legend has it a dragon blocked the route into West Clandon and was later slayed by a solider and his dog. A worthy place to visit and eat if ever there were one.

Opening Secret Santa gifts

Dressed to impress, we started the night with a Christmas themed quiz (with quite a lot of cheating from myself) questions were, “Which country does the Gingerbread House come from?” and “Which two reindeer are named after weather phenomenons?” for example. There was also a round guessing Christmas movies old and new – which I loved.

A great way to warm everyone up for the night to come over a drink or two, the hilarious act of Secret Santa gifting followed the meal. Receiving some really lovely bath and body products myself, I’m hoping my recipient likes their gift as much as I like mine.

However, there were the obligatory joke gifts that went down a storm. Including: Elf slippers, a Sumo suit, novelty glasses and a flying crystal ball.

More fun ensued with a Pass the Parcel style guess the gift game. Feeling, shaking, smelling, five gifts were sent around the room for inspection. Some returned with serious answers, some not so serious. The person with the correct guess then won the gift.

A fun and funny night had by all, it feels amazing to be part of such a close knit team.

Food for thought

The TVision team eating festive food

With Christmas office vibes now in full force, a new TVision tradition has started. The Christmas feast!

All bringing either a shop bought or homemade yuletide dish, practice for Christmas Day eating was the highlight of Monday. And with such a brilliant international all-star cast at the company, dishes ranged from mince pies to Panettone, pigs in blankets to empanada, sausage rolls to Sicilian cannoli.

Fit to burst and ready to get the obligatory Christmas afternoon sleep on, it’s safe to say I’m now feeling suitably Christmassy and ready to go for the big day itself. Especially as there were takeaway trays to take food home too. (Whoever thought of that is a total hero in my eyes!)

One thing is for sure though, the TVision family certainly know how to celebrate.
