Microsoft Gold Partner TVision Technology partner with international IT services A&O to fulfil first phase of finance function review.
A&O is an international IT services company with an enviable sales pipeline and sustained growth at over 20% per annum. A&O recognised the need to improve its finance function to support future growth and engaged specialist consultancy Emerson Nash to start that process.
A review of the processes and information flows within A&O and the current accounting system revealed a number of issues: a large number of spreadsheet based processes, conflicting use of reporting and a series of inefficiencies. For A&O to maintain or increase its growth rate and drive efficiencies, it would need to invest in redesigning internal processes and transferring a number of manual processes onto IT platforms – a common problem within fast growing SMEs.
The legacy accounting system was an obvious starting point. A number of enterprise level multi-currency systems were considered and Microsoft Dynamics NAV was chosen. Key attractions for A&O to Dynamics NAV were the ease of future integrations with other systems, the flexibility and visibility provided as standard, its ability to support a truly international business and its strong reputation within mid tier companies that already used it.
TVision Technology was selected to partner with A&O/Emerson Nash to implement the system, providing excellent support and advice during the design, configuration and implementation phases. NAV was delivered as planned, on time and under budget. The benefits to A&O started immediately with significantly improved visibility and ease of extracting data. The need for a number of excel spreadsheets was removed from day one.
