Surrey based, TVision Technology has been contracted to implement Dynamics NAV, Microsoft’s leading ERP solution, for London based spirits merchant, Mangrove and sister company, Barwell and Jones. Microsoft Gold Partner, TVision will be using the Wine System, its bespoke configuration of Dynamics NAV designed to provide an ERP solution for wine and drinks distributors specifically tailored to their requirements.

The Wine System is already supporting leading UK and international Wine Merchants such as Enotria, Hallgarten and Liberty Wines. The similarities between wine and spirit agencies mean this is a great fit, the inclusion of Barwell & Jones in the scope meant that the project combined traditional wine merchant requirements with spirits distribution.

Part of the long established Coe Group, Mangrove was set up in 2013 to create a leading spirits agency with an enviable portfolio of spirits.

“We had reached a point in our growth where using the shared group system was no longer working for us,” Nick Gillett, MD Mangrove UK. “We decided to implement our own systems, key to that was selecting the best ERP solution.”

After initial review of available solutions and personal recommendation, Microsoft Dynamics NAV quickly moved to the top of the list. Further research on NAV for the industry confirmed that this was the underlying platform for TVision’s award winning Wine System.

“The research, recommendation and experience of TVision made the decision making process pretty straightforward,” Gillett continues. “It took two demonstrations to confirm that this solution would be a solid foundation to support the future of Mangrove UK.” Their knowledge, innate understanding of our business and clear communication of the solution made them a refreshing and ideal partner.”

The project is now underway with initial analysis and scoping completed. These workshops have proved the fit of the Wine System to the business processes.

The implementation is due to go live in May 2016. “We are really pleased to be working with Mangrove on this project,” Nicki Stewart, “Not only is this another great partnership, it also represents the opportunity to prove the Wine System’s capability at meeting the needs of spirit merchants.”
